My professional background

I am currently a marketing PhD student at University of Hawaii studying consumer behavior and marketing theory. I have 7 years of experience in marketing management and advising startups in Utah and Oregon, 2.5 years or experience working in economic development in rural Kenya, and 8 years of experience both working in marketing management and lecturing marketing courses at Vietnam National University and Foreign Trade University, both in Hanoi. My first startup was a record label. My most recent startup was a language school. I've also helped start an environmental social enterprise. I've mentored startups on marketing strategy topics throughout my career.

I specialize in international marketing strategy. I have mentored small businesses in Utah and Oregon in the USA, Nyanza in Kenya, and Hanoi in Vietnam. I can help you develop a marketing strategy to eventually grow into international markets. I also enjoy working with startups who are in the initial stages of development.
